Elias Vollmer

Elias Vollmer works between two instruments that behave in opposite ways: a piano note starts falling away the instant it is struck, an organ note stays exactly where he leaves it.

He is based in Berlin. Classically trained before turning to jazz, gospel and soul, he has spent the last decade between Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris — in trios, big bands and studio sessions. He leads the Elias Vollmer Trio and plays Hammond in the Nachtform organ trio.
